Hope you all had a fun and spooky Hallowe’en. Thanks to all the children for dressing up in their spooky costumes at the end of term and to all the parents and carers who donated. We raised a fantastic £1207.24 for the school through your generosity. Big thanks to Emma Willis for organising it and to all her bucket shakers and coin counters!

Here are details from the announcement:
All are invited to join the meeting. It is an opportunity to suggest ideas for the new school year, particularly how we can help the school in these difficult times.
The AGM is also when we elect the named roles of the PTA committee for the forthcoming year: Co-Chair, Treasurer, and Secretary. These formal roles are required by the PTA as a charity, and are responsible for managing the accounts, providing a central point for communication with people both outside and within the school, keeping meeting minutes and agendas, and ensuring that those managing events have access to all the information and support that they need. We would love to hear from anyone interested in one of these roles, or in sharing one of them with someone else, or helping out more informally.
If you would like any further information about what is involved in being a Committee Officer, please contact us through the PTA email (Pta@stmatthews.cambs.sch.uk) or contact Seb. We are very happy to meet new people and can arrange a Zoom chat to talk through how the PTA works and what the roles involve. All offers of help and ideas for PTA events and fundraising are very welcome, so please do join the meeting if you are able.
If you would like to put yourself forward for a specific Committee role, please email Kat at Pta@stmatthews.cambs.sch.uk, before the AGM if possible, and attend the AGM.

The PTA holds meetings open to all parents, carers and teachers each half term. To accommodate people’s different schedules, we usually hold two meetings at different times of day.
Our next open meetings are at:
- 8pm on Wednesday 12th February in the Community Room at the school
- 9am (just after drop-off) on Friday 14th February at the Box Cafe on Norfolk St
You are very welcome to come to either of these to find out what the PTA is up to, contribute ideas, or to get involved. If you would like to suggest a topic for discussion in advance, please drop us a note.
