Thank you so much for all your entries to the first ever St Matthew’s PTA Photo Competition – we have really enjoyed seeing them. We had 185 entries from 76 children from across the school on the theme of ‘Out and About’. You are all very talented, which has made it incredibly hard to judge!

We were especially lucky to have had Martin Bond, local Cambridge photographer, from A Cambridge Diary, as our judge. We are so grateful to Martin for his support with the competition and for his fabulous comments on the winning and shortlisted entries.

After much deliberation, it is now time to announce the winners of the competition! Below you will find the winning photos as well as those that were shortlisted, along with Martin’s comments.

Based on the number of entries we split the competition into Key Stage 1 and 2, with a winner in KS1, two winners in KS2 and one overall winner.

Overall winner: Lumi Poussa, Year 3, Chestnut Class

KS1 winner: Silas, Year 2, Larch Class

KS2 winners: Thomas Gallagher, Year 3, Chestnut Class & Jenna McGerty, Year 6, Juniper Class

Well done to our winners – we’ll be in touch with you very soon with your book token prize. All those shortlisted and highly commended will also receive a certificate.

Thank you again to everyone who submitted a photo! We hope you enjoyed getting ‘Out and About’ this Spring.
